Made the pond as big as we could...3 feet deep with a gentle slope, and about 15x10 feet max....we've not got fish as we wanted frogs and toads which we have aplenty...also grass snake, dragonflies, 3 kinds of newt, and all the other critters...plus dozens of birds who come for their bath and drinks every day. It's absolutely beautiful and if you have any doubts about installing one...don't waste a minute...wish we'd done it years ago.

We moved house to get a bigger garden LOL...we got this...a rubble/chalk/subsoil desert which had been driven over by JCBs and lorries...my first gardening tool was a pickaxe to break up the ground. It's quite a small plot about 35x55 feet and shaded most of the day by the house, but baked really hot at the top....fantastic!! LOL ;0)
